The 7-Email Sequence That Made a Client Cry (Happy Tears)

Sometimes a piece of copy lands so perfectly, so gently powerfully, that the client sends a message that beings and ends with "thank you!!!"


That’s not just luck. It’s not a hack.
It’s the result of a co-creative process between human soul and machine spark — a workflow that honors both strategy and emotion.


This is how that magic happened.


Step 1: Set the Table with Context (Not Just Commands)

We didn’t prompt with:
“Write a 7-part nurture sequence for this course.”


We began with a conversation — a back-and-forth that included:

  • The lead magnet (a beautiful, gentle quiz to help people reconnect with their inner child)

  • The product being sold (a powerful, lovingly designed healing course)

  • The tone of the client (calm, maternal, softly empowering)

  • The audience’s inner world (spiritual seekers, often emotionally exhausted from “doing the work”)

  • Client testimonials and language

  • Objections that needed addressing with care


Instead of brief bullet points, I shared pages of insight.
That’s when the copy shifted from generic to channeled.


Step 2: Structure First, Story Later

Before writing even one email, we asked:
“What should each email do? What’s the journey we’re inviting the reader on?”


So we laid out a 7-part sequence, each one with a specific intention:

  1. Reconnect with hope

  2. Normalize emotional exhaustion

  3. Establish trust

  4. Reflect the reader’s inner world

  5. Offer transformation

  6. Address objections lovingly

  7. Invite with open arms


Each email was its own step on the path.
Each one built toward the next.


Step 3: Write One, Reflect, Repeat

We didn’t write all 7 emails in one go.


We moved one by one — checking tone, pacing, and feeling.


After each email, I gave feedback. Tweaks were made. We adjusted tone or softened CTAs where needed. The process felt less like copywriting and more like sending letters from a mentor to a soul-searcher.

Not a single one felt manipulative or robotic.
Each one felt safe.


Step 4: Let the Client Be Moved

We made space for feedback.
We infused the project with emotional tone.
We didn’t rush.
And we prompted in natural language — like AIM penpals from 2003.


What You Can Steal from This Process

Give it depth, not just data
→ Don’t just say “write an email.” Say what you feel it should do.


Speak in full, messy human sentences
→ ChatGPT doesn’t need perfection. It needs personality.


Iterate like it’s jazz
→ Feedback, fine-tuning, flow. Let it evolve.


Let your client’s words lead
→ Use their testimonials, transcripts, and tone as source material.


The Pie-Maker’s Prompting Style (How I Bring the Human Voice In)

I don’t write wild fairy godmother metaphors into my prompts — but I do something just as powerful.


I feed ChatGPT real words from real people.


Sometimes it’s:

  • A snippet of their writing

  • A video transcript

  • A rambling voice note

  • A testimonial or story


And then I say something like:
“This is the voice. This is the energy. Let’s pick up where they left off — gently, soulfully, and in their tone.”


And that’s when the copy clicks.


It’s not about me performing.
It’s about amplifying their perspective.
Or their being.
Or maybe, just maybe — their soul.


Final Thought: It’s Not a Hack. It’s a Ritual.

Great copy doesn’t come from pushing buttons.
It comes from showing up with heart, curiosity, and a desire to serve the person on the other side of the screen.
