The Soulful Marketer’s Ritual

April 05, 20253 min read

You’ve probably seen it before:

“Write a 5-email nurture sequence for my lead magnet.”
Boom. AI spits something out in three seconds.
Paste. Schedule. Done.

But here’s the thing… Just because AI can generate instantly, doesn’t mean you should publish instantly.

Great copy is not just about speed — it’s about resonance.

🕯️ Ritual, Not Routine

As a soulful marketer, you already know this:
Words matter. Tone matters. Timing, rhythm, energy — they all matter.

So let’s stop treating AI like a microwave and start treating it like a creative partner.
And like any partner, it works best when you invite it into your process — not just bark commands.

This is the ritual I follow. And it works magic.

🧪 Step 1: Set the Tone — Literally

Before you write anything, give the AI the vibe you're going for.

💬 “I want this sequence to feel like a fireside chat — warm, insightful, just a little cheeky. Speak to heart-centered solopreneurs who are tired of hustle culture.”

It’s not fluff. It’s emotional framing.
When the tone is clear, the words come out aligned. Every. Single. Time.

🔍 Step 2: Offer the Sacred Ingredients

The more context you give, the more flavor the AI delivers.

Here’s what I usually include:

  • The lead magnet (or the product it's nurturing toward)

  • Testimonials in the client’s own words

  • A snapshot of the ideal customer’s fears, desires, and secret dreams

  • Any brand tone/voice notes (like, “never say ‘crush your goals’”)

This isn’t overkill — it’s fuel for the fire.

🧠 Step 3: Begin With the Blueprint

Before asking for a full email sequence, I start with:

💬 “Can you outline the five emails you’d include in a nurture sequence for [this thing]?”

This gives you the skeleton. And from there, you can say:

  • "Yes! Let’s write email 1 next."

  • "Let’s change #3 — I’d rather focus on storytelling there."

  • "Can you include a testimonial in email 2?"

You’re shaping the story before the prose flows.

🪞 Step 4: Co-Write Like You’re in a Jam Session

Here’s where the magic deepens.
Instead of asking for all 5 emails at once, I go one by one. Slowly. Intentionally.

After each one, I give feedback:

“Love the opening metaphor! But can we make the CTA more emotionally resonant?”
“Great start, but this feels a little too salesy — can we lean more into trust-building?”

You’d be surprised how well AI responds to human notes.
It's like having a ghostwriter who actually listens.

🔮 Step 5: Polish With Your Own Spirit

Once the AI has written the bones, I do the final round.

This is where I:

  • Add little linguistic quirks that are very me (or my client)

  • Check for emotional flow — are we taking the reader on a journey?

  • Tighten or fluff as needed

  • Remove any “tell me if you want more help” generic-isms AI loves to sneak in 😉

The final copy? It doesn’t feel like AI wrote it.
It feels like it was channeled.

✨ This Is the Ritual

And the best part?
It doesn’t take longer — it just feels better.
More intentional. More alive. More you.

Because when you show up as a soulful marketer, and you treat AI as your creative co-conspirator…

The result isn’t just content.
It’s connection.

📌 TL;DR — The Soulful AI Copy Ritual:

  1. Set the tone — emotionally and stylistically

  2. Give sacred ingredients — context is gold

  3. Start with an outline — shape the flow before the words

  4. Co-write with feedback — one piece at a time

  5. Polish with your own spark — make it unmistakably human
